Amanda Mallard

Amanda is a newer homeschooling mom of 1, whose journey began in 2024. She watched her daughter struggle in the public school system for various reasons from pre-K through 3rd grade, and decided to withdraw her and try homeschooling instead. This year, she’s trying her hand at making her own unit studies, and is putting tremendous effort into becoming as much of an expert in homeschooling as she can. She has creative solutions for solving problems and setbacks, such as finding tangible ways to practice math with her child, who is more hands-on in her learning. Amanda is extremely passionate about her child’s education, and about homeschooling, as she’s watched her daughter flourish over the last two years. She’s also a member of a couple of local co-ops. As the secretary for NEVCON, Amanda helps to coordinate and direct the chaos for a smooth and engaging experience for our guests during the convention.
